With a degree in Regional and Urban Planning from the Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal), João Carlos da Silva Pinho is the manager of ADRIMAG, a local development association managing LEADER since 1995. He is former president (2007-2009) and vice president (2000-2006) of the Board of Minha Terra Network. He was locally in charge of the organization of the EUROPARC Conference 2017, held in the september 7-10, in the Magic Mountains Region, Sao Pedro do Sul. He took part in the conception and criation of the “Certificate in LEADER Management” course, in partnership with the University of Ljubjlana, Slovenia, LIT – Limerick Institute of Tecnhology and LAGs from Ireland, Poland, Slovenia and Portugal. His experience and knowledge ranges, among others, from local development to incentive schemes and spatial planning. He was member of the Portuguese Parliament (1991-1995) and exercised functions of civil service in the Municipality of Vale de Cambra between 1985 and 2009.
