Joanna Gierulska

Joanna Gierulska has been dealing with rural development since 2003 when she started working in Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Poland. She was involved in programming all three editions of Rural Development Programme in Poland (2004-2006, 2007-2013, 2014-2020). Between 2007 – 2016 she was a head of LEADER Unit responsible for programming and implementation of this approach. In addition she has been coordinating preparation of common rules for CLLD in Poland for all European Funds. Between 2016-2018 she worked as Deputy Director in Rural Development Department in Ministry of Agriculture and was in charge of territorial development (including LEADER), procedures and controls under RDP 2014-2020 and financial implementation of the Programme. Since August 2018 she has been appointed to Rural Development Department Director post. Since 2010 she is a permanent member representating Polish Managing Authority in  LEADER  Subgroup. She has participated actively in many Working Groups dealing with different aspects of LEADER approach.
