Custódia Correia has an university degree in agricultural engineering from the University of Évora and a Master’s Degree in Plant Production from the Technical University of Lisbon – ISA. She is the national coordinator of the Portuguese National Rural Network. She collaborates with ENRD, EIP-AGRI, and with rural networks from other Member States, promoting the involvement of their members in the development of activities in favour of rural development and innovation in agriculture. As Head of the Agricultural Diversification, Training and Associative Movement Section, from the Directorate General of Agriculture and Rural Development, she is engaged and contributes to the definition of support measures for rural development within FEADER, integrating working and discussion groups; assuring the coordination of technical training in the Ministry of Agriculture, in connection with the central and regional organism and being involved in the definition of support measures for professional training and farming associations.
